A newly updated farm-fresh produce department includes an expanded selection of fruits and vegetables.

Winn-Dixie officially reopened its recently remodeled store in on Coral Way in response to customers who asked for an improved shopping experience.

As part of the grand opening ceremony and to officially reintroduce the community to the new and improved store, a ribbon cutting took place on Thursday, Sept. 20, at the store, located at 3275 SW 22 St.

“Winn-Dixie has been part of the South Florida community for 29 years and takes great pride in that history,” said Anthony Hucker, president and CEO of Southeastern Grocers. “The newly remodeled store is the 14th Winn-Dixie store to be remodeled in South Florida, designed with the needs of this unique community in mind.

“We’re excited to give our loyal customers a store they can count on while continuing to offer a great shopping experience, providing exceptional service and the freshest products at the right price,” he said.

With a new concept and features, customers immediately notice will the enhancements throughout the new store including:
• New facade signage and a fresh, contemporary color palate and modern store signage inside.
• Newly updated farm-fresh produce department including an expanded selection of fruits and vegetables.
• Improved deli with expanded grab-and-go meal options for added convenience, including fresh sub sandwich assortments and wing bar.
• New Smokehouse chicken, ribs, pork, and brisket — hand rubbed, seasoned and smoked for 12 hours.
• Fresh sushi made in store, a delicious and easy meal option for lunch and dinner.
• A wide assortment of easy lunch and dinner options, including a hot bar with rotisserie chicken, wing bar with 10 favorite varieties, Smokehouse BBQ and ready-made salads.
• Expanded bakery department with new selections, displays and fresh bread daily.
• New SE Grocers Naturally Better product selection, offering a large variety of gluten free, organic and natural products.
• Expanded beer selections including craft beer.
• Full-service meat department with a butcher on-site to make fresh cuts of meat by request.
• Updated seafood department with expanded seafood varieties including fresh, whole fish and the option to select a convenient “Seafood Made Easy” meal to cut down on cooking time at home.
• Continued commitment to fresh quality and outstanding service.

In addition to celebrating the newly remodeled store, Winn-Dixie donated $2,000 to the Miami-Dade School District, $1,000 to the City of Miami Fire Department – Station #8, and $1,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of Miami.

The new and improved Winn-Dixie is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week.
