The annual Fall Crafts Festival put on by Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and School in Cutler Bay, a true South Dade tradition, marks its 36th year when the family event returns on Saturday, Oct. 20.

The festival brings together a great variety of crafts made by local artists with antiques, a display of hot-rod cars, a kids’ interactive area with activities for youngsters to enjoy, and more.

“There’ll be food and fun for all,” said Cynthia Robert-Clark, one of the event organizers. “And there’s live music for entertainment. It’s a great chance to do some early shopping for the holidays and it’s good for area artists because we all need to help each other out these days. And hand-made things are always a nice gift to receive.”

She also points out that the popular yearly event is a good chance for people to get together with friends and neighbors in a fun setting.

Each year there are locally made items such as handcrafted jewelry, hand-blown glass, ceramic work, handbags, baskets, bells, woodworking, leatherwork, photos and more.

The festival takes place on Oct. 20, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., on the church grounds, located at 18455 Franjo Rd. in Cutler Bay.

There’s plenty of free parking on the premises. There are still a few spaces available for artists and other vendors. For nformation call 305-235-5441.
