Best-selling author and internationally known parenting expert Dr. Leonard Sax presented from his book The Collapse of Parenting at Miami Palmetto High School on Tuesday, Sept. 6.
A physician and psychologist who has written many New York Times bestselling books on raising children, Dr. Sax was invited by the PTSA at Palmetto as part of an ongoing lecture series that is open free to the community.
Last year, the previous dean of Stanford University, Dr. Julie Lythcott-Haims, presented her book, New York Times bestseller How to Raise an Adult, to an audience of more than 200 parents.
Many attendees stayed to speak with Dr. Sax who made himself available for questions and to sign books. Palmetto and the PTSA hope to continue this effort of bringing in experts in the field to share their insights with the school and with the larger community.
