The Doral Business Council has joined forces with Miami Dade College and the South Florida Workforce Investment Board in a program designed to increase access to workforce education and strengthen the economic vitality of the Doral community, its employers and residents.
During the April Doral Business Council Signature breakfast a memo of understanding (MOU) was signed by Pete De La Torre, Doral Business Council Executive Director, Rick Beasley, Executive Director, South Florida Workforce Investment Board, and Jose Vicente, President of Miami Dade College, West Campus.
The Doral Business Council, together Miami Dade College and the South Florida Workforce Investment Board will bring renowned business leaders and scholar experts to Doral to lead workshops covering critical topics and issues facing business in South Florida.
The agreement calls for numerous institute workshops planned, which will take place at Miami Dade West campus located in Doral. The Doral Business Council aims to enhance the region’s vitality and support employers’ needs for workforce education and training.
“We are pleased to work with Miami Dade College and provide these valuable “institute” workshops to our community. It is through efforts such as these that we solidify and maintain Doral’s position as a preferred location for employers and skilled workforce,” said Pete de la Torre, Executive Director of the Doral Business Council.
