SafeSummers Grants Application Closing Soon
Dear Friends and Community Partners serving District 8,
Last week, we launched SafeSummers — grants for full-time, summer-long programs that serve District 8 youth. We hope SafeSummers will have a lasting impact on the safety and wellbeing of everyone in South Dade.
The application has been open for a week now. Although community support has been strong, we would like to spread the word and increase the variety of applicants. Would you help us get the word out by forwarding this to organizations that you believe should apply?
The application period closes Friday, April 30.
Eligible organizations must be registered 501(c)3’s and can receive sponsorship to pay for fees for full-time, all-summer long programs serving youth in need who reside in District 8 (see map). These programs and camps may include, but are not limited to, sports, technology, leadership development, civic engagement, and the arts.
