Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins

In partnership with Neighbors and Neighbors Association, small business owners and nonprofit organizations can apply to enter this 10-week educational cohort program which begins on September 13, 2021. The Business Academy program will consist of structured classes taught by business experts and will cover a range of topics from writing a business plan, marketing, managing capital, and more. The Accelerate South Dade Business Academy will provide South Dade businesses and nonprofits with the skills necessary for success.

The Accelerate South Dade Business Academy is free to those who qualify and the qualifications include: 1) having a business address in District 8 and 2) being incorporated for three years or less. Applications are open now and will close on Monday, September 6, 2021. Visit AccelerateSouthDade.com/Apply to apply.

“As a small business owner, I know the incredible difficulties of starting and growing a business. Add a global health crisis and the odds are even more stacked against small start-ups. As our local economy continues to recover, it is essential that we support our small businesses and this Academy does just that. I am proud to fund this program and look forward to celebrating the success of the academy’s cohort.” said District 8 Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins.

As always District 8, I am with you every step of the way.

Yours in service,

Danielle
