In honor of Black History month, Councilmember Patricia Fairclough-Staggers showcased Paramount Dance Studios at the Feb. 22 Special Council Presentations.
Citing their excellency in artistry and contributions to the community through dance and education, Councilmember Fairclough-Staggers wanted to share the dance studio’s moving performance with those in attendance.
Earlier this year, Paramount Dance Studios was honored at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Breakfast in the business category for being a leading institution dedicated to developing and motivating students through dance. While they were unable to perform live during the breakfast, the dance studio provided a pre-recorded video for the event. That same performance came to life at the Special Presentations.
The moving performance called “Sisters” was a powerful reminder of the impact that dance can have on a community, and showcased the studio’s commitment to excellence and innovation. The performance received tremendous applause and appreciation from council members and attendees present.
“It is an honor to recognize Paramount Dance Studio for their outstanding work in dance and the community,” said Councilmember Fairclough-Staggers. “Their passion for dance is truly inspiring and has brought so much joy and energy to our city through their performances.”
Founded in early 2006, co-founder Lianna Reynolds wanted Paramount Dance Studios to bring an attitude of excellence in dance to Homestead, offering professionally instructed dance classes in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, and more. Paramount not only strives to keep children actively involved in dance but also to aid them with the tools to build their dreams, create a successful future and help them become productive members of society.
