Ethan Ford, son of Melisa and Bruce Ford of Cutler Bay, was recognized “for his musical talent as a high caliber tenor saxophonist attending Arthur and Polly Mays Conservatory of the Arts under band director Arthur Scavella” and since “music stimulates the brain, and teaching through cultural arts promotes critical and creative thinking as well as motivates and increases aptitude for learning.”

Ford has participated in marching band, jazz band wind ensemble, concert band and all-state band, and achieved first chair in all-state band. In November 2014, Ford was selected to perform with Florida Music Educators Association All-State Middle School Band and has been recognized as the No. 1 tenor saxophonist in the state of Florida.
