Members of Cutler Bay Senior High School’s Academy of Hospitality and Tourism (AOHT) attended the 2019 NAF Mega Student Industry Conference, “Developing Our Leaders and Innovators,” recently held at the Doubletree Hilton Miami Airport Convention Center.
The conference featured a keynote speaker and other special speakers, break-out sessions, plus internship interviews with industry professionals. Approximately 1,400 high school students attended from Miami-Dade NAF Academies of Engineering, Finance, Health Sciences, Hospitality and Tourism, Information Technology and Teaching. These academies are aligned with the One Community One Goal initiative targeting major industries that impact Miami’s economy.
Cutler Bay’s AOHT prepares students for post-secondary education in hospitality and tourism majors as well as other courses of study that demand a strong academic foundation in social studies, business, and language arts.
