Members of the Cutler Ridge Woman’s Club gathered for their meeting on Apr. 23 and displayed the backpacks they had put together for homeless men — specifically military veterans.
“The Cutler Ridge Woman’s Club are looking out for our veterans,” said club member Jean Tong-Noon. “Ladies filled backpacks with toiletries and handed them out to those in need.”
The group took the backpacks to homeless veterans in the Homestead area and distributed them.
The club meets the fourth Tuesday of the month, September through May, at Cutler Ridge Park. For information call 305-742-3333.
