The Cutler Ridge Woman’s Club (CRWC), founded in 1956 and based in Cutler Bay, is one of the oldest organizations in continuous operation in the town. It has built a reputation spanning decades for service to the community and helping others. This year was no exception.

“In preparing for our gift giving to help brighten the holiday season for our communities, the Cutler Ridge Woman’s Club members worked diligently the past couple of weeks on our end of the year donations,” said Jean Tong-Noon, CRWC president.

“To Camillus House we wrapped 330 soaps in washcloths. For our veterans, backpacks were filled with a large variety of toiletries,” Tong-Noon continued. “Baskets and donations were put together for Safe Space, Jackson Memorial Perdue Medical Center, and Patches. As we do every year, we hope to bring some smiles to a few. Donations are always welcomed.”

The CRWC has been helping homeless military veterans with backpacks filled with needed toiletry items for years. They also collect teddy bears and other toys for children. The CRWC has conducted food drives and given scholarships to students in need of financial assistance.

CRWC Members meet every fourth Tuesday of the month, virtually or at Cutler Ridge Park, located at 10100 SW 200 St. in Cutler Bay. To contact the Cutler Ridge Woman’s Club, send an email to fwc.crwc1956@gmail.com.
