East Ridge residents celebrated July 4th with golf cart parade
Decorated golf carts assemble for parade.

Residents at East Ridge at Cutler Bay, a SantaFe Senior Living retirement community, celebrated America’s birthday on July 4, with special activities including a parade of decorated golf carts and special food.

Jean Tong-Noon, one of the residents and the president of the Cutler Ridge Woman’s Club, described the fun.

“Friends and I decorated my cart and we drove around in our East Ridge parade,” said Tong-Noon. “Then we had a barbecue and fireworks. The staff here really worked hard and made our day.”

Golf carts are a popular option for getting around the gated community.
