Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) volunteers surprised a local veteran on Dec. 13 by decorating his Cutler Bay home with thousands of LED lights and other energy efficient decorations. John Day is a Coast Guard veteran who lives with his wife, Christine, active duty Coast Guard, and their two young daughters. FPL partnered with the United Way Mission United not only to pull off the surprise decorating job, but to provide gifts for the family as well.
