The Kiwanis of Little Havana Foundation, in partnership with the Miami Marlins Foundation, Nomi Health, Mayor Daniella Levin Cava, and Integrity Wealth Advisory of Raymond James, wrapped up its 31st annual Back-to-School Project with a distribution to more than 600 youth baseball and softball players at Franjo Park in Cutler Bay, home of the Perrine Baseball Softball Association (PBSA).

The distribution took place on Saturday, September 9 with a special appearance from Billy the Marlin who posed for pictures with the young athletes and assisted in distributing supplies.

“The children are our future and encouraging development of the balanced student-athlete in our community of Cutler Bay is the focus of this partnership between The Kiwanis of Litte Havana, Perrine Baseball and Softball Association, and the Miami Marlins. One Team, One Dream,” said Ray Sardina, Chairman of the Kiwanis Back to School Project.

With a longstanding commitment to education, the Kiwanis of Little Havana Foundation has facilitated back-to-school supplies for children for 31 years, empowering under-served students for academic success in the upcoming school year.

The Kiwanis 31st annual Back-to-School Project commenced on August 18, visiting over 16 public elementary schools across South Florida and providing over $350,000 worth of essential school supplies to more than 10,000 children, cementing its position as one of the nation’s largest Back to School Aid Projects.
