To help job seekers prepare and search for jobs, the Miami-Dade Public Library System offers free classes and assistance.
From computer classes and access to the Internet, to help with resume writing, job interviewing and test preparation, the library wants to prepare patrons who are entering the job market. Classes are conducted throughout all 48 branches and are available in English and Spanish.
Basic computer skills, resume writing and email account setup classes are available as well as classes on how to navigate the Internet to search for jobs. The library’s extensive databases include the Learning Express Library, which offers practice tests and skill-building courses.
The library also offers individuals, who have a library account in good standing, the use of computers at any branch location. Individuals with their own laptop may access the Internet through the library’s free WiFi service.
