Miami-Dade Public Library System begins Summer Reading Program

The Miami Dade Public Library System invites you to get into the game this summer — the reading game, that is — by participating in the 2016 Summer Reading Program.

The program continues through Aug. 6 at all system libraries and includes special events, fun activities and the chance to win great prizes.

People of all ages are eligible to participate. Just stop by your local library to register and pick up a Summer Reading Program game board to keep track of the hours you read. Every trip around the board is equivalent to eight hours of reading. You’ll receive one entry ticket for the prize drawings for every hour you read or listen to a book. You may also receive an entry ticket for attending any library event.

To see the official contest rules, download a game board, and get more information about events at your neighborhood library, visit www.mdpls.org.

The Summer Reading Program is made possible with the generous support of the Friends of the Miami-Dade Public Library.
