The dream of a quality retirement community for Miami-area seniors came true when East Ridge at Cutler Bay opened its doors in 1962. A lot has changed over the 60 years, with the baby boomers retiring and flocking to the community.

East Ridge at Cutler Bay has provided more dining options for the growing foodie population as well as more life-enrichment and fitness opportunities. But one thing remains the same, the unique LifeCare option that continues to draw seniors from across the country.

“Despite the changing world, East Ridge at Cutler Bay has always managed to stay ahead of the curve, anticipating and responding to trends,” said David Kremer, executive director of East Ridge at Cutler Bay.

In June, hundreds of residents and team members celebrated the diamond anniversary with a variety of events. From a community-wide farmer’s market to a happy hour with live music and delicious chef-inspired cuisine to a trip down memory lane with mementos from the last 60 years.

Residents, team members, and families were all happy to commemorate the community’s ability to enrich the lives of seniors they serve for the last 60 years.
