The Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center, 10950 SW 211 St. in Cutler Bay, will present Netflix’s Our Planet Live: Life on Our Planet, featuring special guest speaker Keith Scholey from the Emmy Award-winning team behind Netflix’s renowned series. Our Planet Live is a groundbreaking natural history speaker series brought to audiences by Silverback Films and Producer esk, in association with Netflix. This immersive show offers a unique opportunity to delve into behind-the-scenes stories from the explorers, filmmakers, scientists, and adventurers who crafted this breathtaking footage of Earth’s natural beauty.
Premiering in 2019, Netflix’s ambitious documentary Our Planet spans two seasons, showcasing breathtaking wildlife and how these natural habitats are affected by climate change. The documentary took four years to film in more than 50 countries.
These captivating narratives now bring the natural world to life on stage, focusing on climate fragility and migration. Our Planet Live presents an unprecedented story about overcoming global obstacles and exploring the profound messages embedded in these mesmerizing sequences.
Life on Our Planet encapsulates four billion years of Earth’s history, showcasing the ongoing rise and fall of species through five mass extinction events. From cataclysmic events reshaping ecosystems to the survival and demise of various creatures along the way, Life on Our Planet is a compelling exploration of resilience, adaptation and the intricate web of life.
