Prepare to be dazzled on Sunday, February 1, 2026, as Les Ballets Africains graces the stage of the Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center. This internationally acclaimed collective will showcase their latest work, Les Ballets Africains: A Performance for the World. Tickets are available here.
Founded by Guinean choreographer Keita Fodeba, the ensemble came together in Paris in 1952 and has toured the world for more than 70 years, captivating audiences from Sydney to Tokyo to Rio, Chicago, and Berlin. Recognized as the National Dance Company of the Republic of Guinea, they serve as Africa’s artistic ambassadors through their craft, illustrating and celebrating the continent’s vibrant cultural tapestry with traditional dance, music, and storytelling.
A Performance for the World builds on the company’s rich legacy of cultural ambassadorship, fusing centuries-old traditions with contemporary artistry. Audiences of all ages will revel in the immersive performance featuring master drummers, singers, and dancers honoring the spirit and resilience of the Guinean people.
This upcoming performance marks Les Ballets Africains’ debut on the Moss Center stage, promising a beautifully immersive and transcendent experience. Supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts, A Performance for the World beautifully embodies the spirit of cultural exchange and artistic excellence across borders and generations.
The Moss Center is working to help the community at home and abroad, and here’s how you can help. During the Les Ballets Africains performance, the Moss Center will collect donations for relief efforts in Jamaica following Hurricane Melissa. Every little bit counts. You can drop off your donation of canned goods (protein, vegetables, fruits, beans) and hygiene products (toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, toilet paper, wet wipes) in the Main Stage Lobby right before the show. This is in collaboration with the Global Empowerment Mission’s (GEM)/Caribbean Strong Hurricane Melissa efforts on the island. To date, GEM has deployed over one million pounds of emergency aid supplies. You can learn more about GEM’s work in Jamaica on their website.
Ticket prices for Les Ballets Africains: A Performance for the World range from $15 to $30. To purchase your tickets, visit MossCenter.org, stop by the Moss Center Box Office in person, or call (786) 573-5300.
