Memory study… The latest findings on ‘Super Agers’ from an NIH Funded Study will be presented at East Ridge at Cutler Bay on Friday, October 9 at 11 a.m. by its lead investigator Dr. David Loewenstein, professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences, and director of neuropsychology at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine. He’s leading the study that identifies ways to detect normal versus abnormal aging. Super Agers are people in their 80s and 90s with brains and memories that seem decades younger. Recent research suggests older adults who are cognitively active and socially engaged have less chance of developing brain-related diseases. The event is open to the public and seating is limited.
