First place finishers were the Roberts Family as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Dozens of costume-clad Cutler Bay children and their families descended on Old Cutler Towne Center for the shopping hub’s third-annual “Halloween Howl” trick-ortreat costume contest event.

Four cash prizes were presented by the panel of Old Cutler Towne Center judges to the most “fang-tastic” costumes of the day. The first place award ($150) went to the Roberts family, whose members dressed in coordinating Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles costumes (three of which were homemade); second place ($100) went to “Cheyenne,” who was artfully made-up as a “Cracked Porcelain Doll;” the third place prize ($50) went to “Sofia,” who dressed in a homemade Disney Princess Tiana costume, and in fourth place ($25) was “Robert” who dressed as a “Friendly Ghost.”

Retailers with Old Cutler Towne Center — which is located at Old Cutler Road and SW 204th Street — also greeted the youth by handing out candy and giveaways.

Old Cutler Towne Center is anchored by a Publix and touts approximately 30 tenants, providing a broad range of shopping options. For additional information, visit www.oldcutlertownecenter.com.
