Matthew DeBord spent 12 years in the military and was stationed at various locations around the world until his final discharge from military service in 2014.
While on one of his many deployments and driving in Iraq, his vehicle hit an IED which led him to be ejected from the vehicle. As a result he suffered a Class 2 concussion and cracked vertebra in his back.
After learning of DeBord’s story, PuppySpot decided to donate and surprise him with a German shepherd puppy which was delivered to him at his South Miami-Dade home on May 17.
