The Town of Cutler Bay’s Active Adults program offers free field trips to area activities for residents who are 55 and over. The program is designed and coordinated by the town’s Parks and Recreation Department.
On Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018, Cutler Bay Active Adults went to Zoo Miami for the day. The popular program filled quickly and had 10 people on a waiting list. A charter bus provided transportation to and from the zoo, and besides admission to the zoo, lunch at the Oasis Grill was provided. Attendees were able to stroll through the zoo, see the animals and displays, and meet new friends.
There are more activities scheduled for January. The first is a presentation about Improving Quality of Life Through Wellness and Exercise for Energy on Jan. 9 at 10:30 a.m. at East Ridge Retirement Village. The second is an Active Adults luncheon at the Sandbar Sports Grill on Jan. 15 at 11:30 a.m.
