Sophia Prado, Howard Drive Elementary Student, Chosen to Represent United States in World Cup of Paso Fino Horse
The Prado family of Cutler Bay, FL, is proud to announce that their daughter, Sophia Prado, has been selected to represent the United States in the World Cup/Mundial 2024 of Paso Fino Horse. This prestigious event, held once every two years, will take place in Puerto Rico this July.
At just eight years old, Sophia Prado has been chosen compete on the world stage as part of Team USA. For Sophia, this opportunity is not just about competition; it’s about realizing her dreams and showcasing American horsemanship on an international platform.
Sophia’s journey in the world of equestrianism began at the age of four, during the pandemic, as a safe outdoor activity. Since then, her passion and dedication have led to remarkable success in competitions, including several first-place awards. Notably, Sophia recently achieved a third-place finish in April, where she competed in the Performance Sub Jr. category (ages 7-12) as the youngest participant.
As Sophia prepares to represent her country, the Prado family is reaching out to the community for support. Financial contributions will assist with Sophia’s training, travel expenses, and competition horse rental. Donations, no matter the size, will play a vital role in Sophia’s journey to the World Cup.
“We are deeply grateful for any support to help make Sophia’s dream a reality,” said Serina and Manuel Prado, Sophia’s parents. “Together, let’s show the world the spirit and determination of the USA.”
To support Sophia on her journey, donations can be made through the GoFundMe page: https://gofund.me/a513f75d. For sponsorship opportunities, please refer to the attached information.
