Enjoy a weekly dose of live entertainment and cultural experiences at Southland Mall!
Southland Mall is proud to announce the continuation of their weekly “Festive Fridays” event series throughout the 2015 calendar year. The events will incorporate an eclectic mix of performers that showcase diverse cultures, dance forms and musical genres. Every Friday, shoppers are invited to the mall’s Center Court to enjoy live entertainment alongside their family and friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Below is a list of events for the month of January:
• January 9th – Raquel Torrent presents her exclusive “Art & Juice” workshop at Southland Mall. Slip on your aprons and get ready to paint a one-of-a-kind masterpiece! Children (ages 3- 12 yrs. old) will receive complimentary painting materials along with Torrent’s easy-to-follow instructions throughout the evening. • January 16th – The talented dancers from Huney Shine Dance Studio will visit Southland Mall to present special jazz, modern dance and hip hop performances.
• January 23rd – Join the Montessori School as they present their student rock bands ranging from K to 6th grade. Bands like “The Cats,” “Diamond Blue,” “The Avengers” and “Paulina & The Rockers” will be sure to make you want to groove!
• January 30th – Performers from Hipnotic Dance Studio will showcase their best belly dancing moves. Shayna Lee, International Belly Dancer and CEO of Hipnotic Dance Studio, will grace the stage and show the audience how to shake their hips like a pro!
“Festive Fridays” are free events that are open to the public. Southland Mall is conveniently located on U.S. 1 and S.W. 205th Street, off the Florida Turnpike, Exits 11 or 12.
