Spooky Symphony: Eerie classics return to Adrienne Arsht Center on Oct. 29

“Spooky Symphony,” a ghoulishly wonderful repertoire performed by the Alhambra Orchestra and Greater Miami Youth Symphony, is a free family Halloween concert featuring music from the show Phantom of the Opera; the movie Pirates of the Caribbean and the video game Uncharted, plus eerie classics La Forza del Destino overture by Verdi and Pictures at an Exhibition by Mussorgsky.

Additional concert highlights include a multimedia presentation, and audience members and musicians dressed in their Halloween costume best to enhance the supernatural experience.

The Alhambra Orchestra and Greater Miami Youth Symphony, conducted by Daniel Andai and Huifang Chen, are presented by The Children’s Trust and Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County as part of the center’s free Family Fest series.

There will be two performances on Sunday, Oct. 29, at 1 and 4 p.m.

The Adrienne Arsht Center John S. and James L. Knight Concert Hall, 1300 Biscayne Blvd., is easily accessible by Metrorail, bus, and trolley.

Admission to this popular event is free but you will want to reserve First Access Passes to ensure admission. Access Passes, now available, expire 15 minutes before show time. Reserve your seats through the Arsht Center box office in person, online at www.arshtcenter.org or by calling 305-949-6722. Standby lines will form an hour in advance for both performances.
