The Carrie Brazer Center for Autism is inviting the Autism Community to its new Elementary School campus to cool off and enjoy sensory fun at its “Summer Splash Bash for Autism,
This fun and free event is being offered specially to children and adults who are on the autism spectrum every Saturday in August, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Activities include a waterslide, fabulous water splash area, and bounce houses, in addition to a spacious play yard that includes swings, basketball court, climbing equipment with slides and lots of space to run and jump. It’s a child’s wonderland that offers an abundance of opportunities for sensory fun and exercise, while staying cool in the hot August sun.
Guests also will get to munch on popcorn, cotton candy, hot dogs and other refreshments which are complimentary for all to enjoy.
The Carrie Brazer Center for Autism, has been helping students on the autism spectrum since 1999 and was recognized as one of the top schools, specializing in autism, in the country.
The center is expanding its pre-school and elementary school campus and re-locating to 7530 Sunset Dr., which is conveniently located at the Sunset Drive exit off the Palmetto Expressway.
The new school campus enables the Carrie Brazer Center for Autism to actualize its potential by expanding and enhancing its facilities while providing state-of-the art educational programs. Initially, this location will serve children diagnosed with classical Autism Spectrum Disorders and other social and communicative disabilities, including Asperger’s Disorder, high-functioning autism, and nonverbal learning disabilities from birth to age 13.
Expansion plans, scheduled to be completed by Fall 2017, include a new building for the middle school and high school students and the Adult Day Training and Vocational program.
The center accepts Florida McKay Scholarship for Students with Disabilities and the Florida Gardiner Scholarship (PLSA) as payment towards tuition. Parents, interested in learning more about the center’s school, ABA, “Summer Splash Bash” Saturdays, and camp programs, are welcome to visit and receive a tour of the center’s new Sunset campus, Monday-Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. throughout the month of August.
