Lenzey Stidham, the first ever “Miss Cutler Bay USA,” was introduced to those attending the May 18 town council meeting. She will be Cutler Bay’s representative to compete at the Miss Florida USA 2017 state championship competition, July 13-16.

Although not a resident of Cutler Bay, Stidham was one of the finalists competing in the Miss Homestead USA pageant at the historic Seminole Theater in downtown Homestead and due to a decision by pageant producers two titles were awarded instead of just one. Nikki Sheaks became the new Miss Homestead USA 2017 and Lenzey Stidham became the first Miss Cutler Bay USA 2017. The Miss Florida USA pageant is the official qualifier towards Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.

Stidham will serve as the town’s goodwill ambassador for the next year. Wearing her sash and crown, she will attend many town-sponsored events and other significant occasions such as throwing out the first pitch at a Miami Marlins’ baseball game, ribbon cuttings, and grand openings.

“As Miss Cutler Bay, I hope to encourage today’s youth to be leaders,” Stidham said. “There is no easy way to the top, and I’d like to show through perseverance and dedication, anyone can achieve a high level of success.”

Miss Stidham is a graduate of Siena Heights University, where she majored in biology, minored in business. She also excelled as a track and field athlete, winning numerous national titles. She is the founder and CEO of 2BC Agency, a boutique modeling agency.

Cutler Bay Councilmember Mary Ann Mixon, who was once a first runnerup in the Miss Florida pageant, has served as a judge for more than a decade, helping select winners in many city competitions.

“I am very proud to have Lenzey as our very first Miss Cutler Bay,” Mixon said. “Obviously, she is gorgeous but more importantly, she is intelligent, has a vibrant personality and the ultimate can-do attitude. She is a very industrious young woman who already owns and runs her own business. I know she will do exceptionally well at Miss Florida.”
