The 55th annual Cutler Bay/Whispering Pines Fourth of July Celebration and Parade returns on Tuesday, July 4, from 9 a.m. to noon.

The highly popular event celebrating America’s independence always has drawn crowds in Cutler Bay. The Whispering Pines parade predates the incorporation of the town.
Rod Gibson, communications manager for Cutler Bay, said he is excited about this year’s event.

“The festivities will kick off with the highly anticipated Golf Cart Parade,” Gibson said. “We encourage all residents to participate by decorating their carts with red, white and blue. It’s a fantastic way for residents to showcase their creativity, patriotism and enthusiasm for our Independence Day.”

The parade route will conclude at Whispering Pines Park, where many activities and attractions await.

“At the park, attendees will be treated to complimentary food and drinks by Joe the Smoking Pig. We also have some thrilling surprises planned, including a flyover by the Homestead Air Reserve Base Fighter Wing,” he said.

The family friendly event will include live music, arts and crafts, snow cones, and for children, inflatable bouncers, face painting, balloon artists and other activities.

Elected officials from the community are expected to attend the celebration.

“This is an opportunity for residents to meet and interact with our leaders, fostering a sense of unity and engagement within our community,” Gibson said. “We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to this incredible celebration. It’s a chance for our community to come together, honor our nation’s independence, and create cherished memories with friends, family and neighbors.”

Jaguar Land Rover South Dade is the official sponsor of this year’s event. The town also is joining forces with Palmetto Bay to continue the festivities into the evening by sponsoring their Independence Day Celebration from 6 to 9 p.m. featuring a captivating fireworks display.

Morning schedule:
● Parade lineup begins at 8 a.m.
● Parade promptly begins at 9 a.m.
