The Town of Cutler Bay is hosting its annual Easter Eggstravaganza on Apr. 8, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Cutler Ridge Park, located at 10100 SW 200 St.

There will be free photos with the Easter Bunny, music, a balloon artist, inflatables, face painting, food trucks, Easter egg hunts and more.

Maria Herrera-Mendoza, Events & Programs manager for the Town of Cutler Bay, anticipates that many people will attend.

“Last year we had over 1,000 attendees, lots of kids, and it wasn’t really a big event so we’re expecting a good turnout this time, because we have photos with the Easter Bunny, we have inflatables, we have balloon artists, we have a deejay and we have two egg hunts between the age groups,” Herrera-Mendoza said. “The age groups are from 3 to 7 and from 8 to 10.”

In addition to having two egg hunts, there will be two Easter Bunnies this year. One will be outside where parents are free to take their own photos of their children and the Easter Bunny, and the other where the Bunny will be in a photo booth with a professional photographer.

“But that’s only going to be while supplies last,” she said. “We’re going to give out Bunny Passes that you can use with the photographer. But with the outside Bunny then the parents can bring their own cameras or cell phones and take pictures that way.”

She said the food trucks will be the smaller ones, not the large ones with a complete dinner menu. And there will be appropriate activities for the family friendly event.
