Created in 1958 and now in recognition of its 60 years of serving the greater South Florida community, the Archdiocese of Miami is launching its “60 for 60” campaign to recognize members of the faithful in Dade, Broward and Monroe counties who contributed their time, talent and treasure in building the Archdiocese over the past 60 years.
Duding months leading to the 60th anniversary and gala celebration, the Archdiocese will honor those Catholic community leaders and feature their stories on the ADOM website, social media platforms, in the Florida Catholic and La Voz newspapers, and the archdiocesan-owned Radio Paz.
“The Diamond Anniversary of the Archdiocese is a wonderful time for us to stop and reflect on the many things we have accomplished, share our gratitude with the many that have helped us reach this milestone, and continue to plan and to serve our community,” Archbishop Thomas Wenski said. “The ‘60 for 60’ campaign gives us the opportunity to feature the members of the faithful that have helped transform our community during the first 60 years of the Archdiocese.”
Also, during a special liturgy to be held in late October, the Archdiocese will recognize parishioners selected by their pastors for extraordinary service to their communities.
