Youngsters can participate in the costume contest.

The annual family-friendly Spooky Night is back at Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Kendall Campus, 11011 SW 104 St., on Friday, Oct. 27, 4-8 p.m., with entertainment, games, storytelling, arts and crafts, animal shows, and more.

This year, proceeds will benefit the Voices For Children Foundation Inc., which raises funds to ensure that every abused, abandoned and neglected child in Miami-Dade County is provided assistance. This year’s supporting sponsor is West Kendall Baptist Hospital.

Spooky Night is geared toward families and serves as a fun and safe alternative to traditional trick-or-treating. There will be an admission fee of $5 per family to benefit Voices for Children.

Community partners include the Miami-Dade Public Library System, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, The Children’s Trust, Main Street Children’s Dentistry and Orthodontics, and more.

There is free parking in Lots 4 and 16. Food will be available for purchase.

Attendees are invited to dress up for the event and participate in the annual costume contest.
