Helen Aguirre Ferré speaks to students at MDC HomesteadIn celebration of Women’s History Month in March, Helen Aguirre Ferré, an award winning journalist and chair of Miami Dade College’s (MDC) District Board of Trustees, spoke to Homestead Campus students recently as part of a forum on “Female Journalists Who Bring Us News and Shape Our Views.” A veteran journalist figure in both English and Spanish language media, Aguirre Ferré, co-hosts Univision Radio’s political talk show Prohibido Callarse at WQBA 1140 AM and is columnist at The Miami Herald and El Nuevo Herald. She also moderates the weekly WPBT2 public affairs series, Issues.
