Homestead-Miami Speedway to host first ‘Championship Climb’ on Oct. 20

As NASCAR’s drivers continue to ascend towards the Championship 4 at Homestead-Miami Speedway, fans also can partake in a championship climb of their own at the Speedway.

On Saturday, Oct. 20, Homestead-Miami Speedway is hosting the track’s inaugural Championship Climb, a charity event where attendees will race up and down the championship track’s grandstands. The stair climb will begin at 8 a.m., and participants will test their endurance for a chance at bragging rights as king of the grandstands.

The Championship Climb will consist of participants running stairs in front of their friends and family while helping raise money for a good cause. Proceeds from the event will benefit Homestead-Miami Speedway’s charitable outreach program, “Driving for a Cause,” which benefits several local youth and education organizations.

Registration costs $35 and includes the following: participation in the stair climb, chance to win tickets to the Ford EcoBoost 400, and refreshments following the event.
