Join international star Jon Secada, the Area Stage Company Coaching Staff and Conservatory students in an amazing evening of music that will include classics from the American musical theater repertoire and will be directed, arranged and conducted by award winning director Jon Rose.
The benefit concert will take place on June 16 at 8 p.m. at Area Stage, 1560 S. Dixie Hwy., with all profits going directly to benefit children who have lost parents in the recent Ecuador earthquake.
“I realize that on my own, the help I could give would be so limited. Then I remind myself of the generous spirit of our community, who I have witnessed to be always present when tragedy of this magnitude strikes anywhere in the world,” said Maria Banda-Rodaz, executive director.
The fundraiser will include appearances and performances by a number of homegrown artists like Secada who are concerned by the recent events in Ecuador.
“Together we believe we can make a difference” Secada said.
Tickets will be $100, $75, and $50 as all proceeds will go directly to foundations that are helping children that are now orphan because of this tragic event.
