A ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrated the grand opening of two newly designed garden home models at East Ridge at Cutler Bay.
The active retirement community offers both life plan and rental residences. The new models illustrate one- and two-bedroom floorplans that are available and were decorated by Bridget Bohacz and Associates Inc. of Glen Burnie, MD. Both have furnishings and color schemes that capture the Key West flavor of the community.
East Ridge has been undergoing an extensive repositioning that has included the remodeling of community amenities as well as residences in the life plan community.
The new models feature updated exteriors and tropical landscaping along with hurricane impact resistant windows. All include stainless steel appliances, Stilestone countertops and wood laminate flooring.
“Additionally, we’ve focused on incorporating universal design features within the residences,” explained Marcos Gonzalez, director of sales. “These features include a threshold-free shower enclosure, easier to reach microwaves and ovens, glass cooktops with knobs and lever faucets. Grab bars in bathrooms are custom installed at occupancy. It’s critical to look to appeal to today’s prospective resident.”
Both the one- and two-bedroom residences offer a spacious screened lanai that opens onto the expansive tropical green areas found within East Ridge. This feature capitalizes on the indoor-outdoor living that is unique to East Ridge. Residents enjoy the spaciousness of the patio homes and their single-family home feeling.
