Downtown Doral, a 250-acre mixed-use community developed by Codina Partners, announced today the first-ever Downtown Doral Arts Festival, a free two-day celebration complete with visual arts, live music, and culinary experiences. The festival is anticipated to draw in thousands of visitors over the course of the weekend.
The festival will take place in the heart of Downtown Doral (NW 53rd Street) on Saturday, November 15, and Sunday, November 16, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The family and pet-friendly event will bring together more than 60 renowned artists and feature live art experiences, gourmet food and drink, Baptist Health’s Farmer’s Market, purchasable art created by Downtown Doral Chater School students, and more.
“Art is an essential part of any vibrant community, which is why it’s so important to us to bring experiences like the Downtown Doral Arts Festival to life,” said Ana-Marie Codina, CEO of Codina Partners, the developers of Downtown Doral. “Along with immersive exhibitions at LUX Doral and events throughout the year, the festival reflects our vision to weave creativity into everyday life and strengthen Miami’s reputation as a dynamic hub for arts and culture.”
The event offers a unique opportunity to support local artists and spark conversations about the inspiration behind their work. The vibrant, open-air atmosphere of the festival makes art more approachable than the traditional gallery setting. Vistors can explore the rows of booths and shop for art in a variety of mediums, including painting, photography, sculpture, mixed medium, and more.
“Events like the Downtown Doral Arts Festival bring together our community while boosting Doral’s economy and supporting local businesses, artists and vendors,” said Doral Mayor Christi Fraga. “We commend Downtown Doral’s commitment to hosting events like this festival that not only celebrate arts and culture but contribute to the vitality of our local economy.”
The sampling of artists include:
- Roy Rodriguez: A Doral-based painter who draws inspiration from his Cuban heritage in each representation of his muse.
- Ernie Rodriguez: A Miami-based mixed media, collage, and print artist whose work reflects unique expressions of nature.
- Erikan Ekefrey: Originally from Lagos, Nigeria, his contemporary African paintings depict cultural heritage and traditions using vibrant colors, lyrical forms, and mask-like faces.
The festival is organized by Downtown Doral and Momentum Marketing Group and is made possible by partners including City of Doral, Baptist Health, Wild Fork Food, Ocean Infiniti Doral, and iHeart Radio.
“We’re thrilled to be working with Downtown Doral and the City of Doral on this fine arts festival. Downtown Doral’s Main Street is the perfect setting for marrying art and community together for a fun-filled family weekend,” said Derek Hodes, President of Momentum Marketing Group.
