Miami Christian School students are high achievers in academics and athletics

Seniors Allison Bean and Christine Rosillo, Silver Knight nominees, participated in student interviews last month at Jungle Island. Both students have volunteered numerous hours of community service, and Allison Bean is the only student in the history of the school to win a Presidential Volunteer Community Service Award in Kindergarten.

Miami Christian School is a member of the Independent Schools of South Florida (ISSF) as a school that holds more than one accreditation that is recognized by the State of Florida. As a member, the school was allowed to nominate three students for the ISSF Star Awards and attend a luncheon of over 800 individuals to receive medals for their achievements. The three students nominated were: Valentina Lopez (5th grade), Karen Linares (8th grade), and Miguel Diaz (12th grade).

College acceptances continue to roll in for the seniors with Senior Kaijing Wang being been accepted to Arizona State University and to Miami University. Senior Zabria Bridges has been accepted to Florida Memorial University and to St. Leo University.

Six of the Miami Christian School State Championship Team Members made The Miami Herald’s All Dade Team:
• 1st Team: Neftali Alvarez, Marcelo Perez
• 2nd Team: Miguel Diaz, Jeffrey Hernandez
• 3rd Team: Diego Rivera
• Honorable Mention: J.J. Flores.

The Miami Christian Baseball team is currently ranked 1st in the State in the FHSAA 2A rankings and has consistently been ranked at the top throughout the season.
