District 5 School Board Member Susie V. Castillo joined with City of Doral Mayor Juan Carlos Bermudez on the first day of school Aug. 21 to welcome students to the newest Miami Dade County Public School: Dr. Toni Bilbao Preparatory Academy at 8905 N.W. 114th Ave. in Doral.

The school is helping to meet the demands of this growing municipality, as the population in the City of Doral has increased more than 26 percent in the past six years. In fact, Doral was recently named the fastest growing city in the State of Florida.

As Miami-Dade County Public Schools continues to lead with high quality educational options in areas with new residential developments, this is the first of three schools planned to open in Doral within the next three years.
