The Shops at Downtown Doral recently opened a fusion taco eatery in addition to inking deals with a new women’s beauty concept and a spa that offers affordable massage and facial services.
Avo Taco
Avo Taco, a specialty, fast-casual taco restaurant has recently opened its doors at Downtown Doral. The chefs at AVO TACO say they will take your taste buds on an adventure with a combination of spices and flavors that harmoniously come together in every bite.
The freshly prepared eats can be paired with one of the signature cocktails like the prickly pear margarita or pina colada. Savory dishes include mango-topped guacamole and a sage breaded shrimp taco topped with crisp slaw, mango, eel sauce and sriracha passion fruit aioli.
“At Avo Taco we take pride in every single dish we serve and we know you’ll be able to taste the difference in every bite,’ says David Hersh, restaurant co-owner.

Blos N Roses
To complement the existing The Spot Barbershop at Downtown Doral comes Blos N Roses, a beauty salon that will feature blowouts, manicures, and pedicures. Founded by Diana Hernandez, one of the co-founders of The Spot Barbershop, and Karolyn Henao, Blos N Roses brings a new experience in selfcare, complete with retro décor, high quality service, and a simple philosophy – ‘you shouldn’t have to compromise quality with time.’
The team behind the salon positions it as the ideal spot for the working woman, as it offers a combo chair where customers can simultaneously get a manicure, pedicure, and blow dry in less than 60 minutes.
“As a business woman, I found a gap in the beauty industry where high quality and time were disconnected. This presented a perfect opportunity for me to jump from the barbershop business to expand into the female category,” said Diana Hernandez, CEO and Founder of Blos N Roses.
“I’m using my expertise in design to deliver more than just a service; my objective is to deliver an elevated experience for every customer that comes through our doors.”
