Alejandro Crocker’s latest collection of sustainable designer fashions was featured at a Holiday Trunk Show in December hosted by arely PR and Figurella at their studio in Doral for their clients and friends. The event represented the brand’s launch in the city and guests included Coral Gables Woman’s Club Members Gloria Burns and Lorena Holguin.
Crocker, a Venezuelan designer who studied Art History at the Sorbonne University in Paris, began restoring vintage fabrics 20 years ago. Using a process known as upcycling, Crocker recreates, redesigns, and repurposes fabrics and textiles into uniquely elaborated one-of-a-kind fashions. Many of the pieces are painted by hand and feature empowering messages for women. The designer brand is where luxury meets sustainability.
Currently based in Columbia, Crocker has lived in Miami and has participated in many important fashion shows throughout the USA including Miami Fashion Week. His recent trunk show in Doral is the beginning of a continued presence in our city.
