Executive Chef Eric Do has created a Miami Spice menu that does much more than fill empty stomachs of hungry patrons. Doing its part in the fight against breast cancer, Blue Matisse & NAU Lounge is donating 10 percent of their Miami Spice proceeds to Susan G. Komen (SGK) Miami/Ft. Lauderdale.
Guests who partake in Miami Spice at Blue Matisse and NAU Lounge will be in for a treat as the menu changes every day – and features different specialties from around the world. Also, each month different dishes are selected to be showcased on the buffet. Anyone who enjoys the Miami Spice lunch offering will get to pair their meal with their choice of a glass of wine or beer. Chef Do and his staff have also put all their talents and specialties together to infuse the three-course Miami Spice dinner with Latin and Korean influence.
“Through the support obtained from incredible organizations like Blue Matisse & NAU Lounge, SGK is able to raise monies and use the funds locally in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe Counties to help many in the fight against breast cancer,” said Sherri Martens-Curtis, Executive Director of SGK Miami/Ft. Lauderdale.
“Our organization funds screening mammograms, diagnostic testing, and chemotherapy for over 10,0000 women annually,” she added. They have also set up a local financial assistance fund that is a resource to help those fighting breast cancer cover everyday expenses such as transportation and co-pays for medication.
“Support and fundraising through our corporate partners is essential to being able to provide the life-saving programs that are part of our mission. We strive that one day anyone diagnosed with breast cancer will also be a survivor of the disease,” said Martens-Curtis.
