Mayor Luigi Boria met with Ricardo Zúñiga, newly-appointed NSC Senior Director for the Western Hemisphere, June 7.
Mr. Zúñiga, of Honduran descent, will be the National Security Council’s lead advisor on Latin American Policy, as a State Department veteran on Cuban affairs and human rights issues.
Mayor Boria and Mr. Zúñiga discussed several global issues, among them the current political state of Venezuela and its effects not only in the United States but specifically within the City of Doral. They hope to continue a constructive and productive dialogue regarding the issues now facing Venezuela.
