The City of Doral began its partnership with the American Association of Retired Persons Foundation’s Senior Community Service Employment Program on May 1, to help individuals 55 and older find employment in the city.
This partnership will provide the city with temporary additional manpower to strengthen the programs and services it provides to the community. Additionally, it will give seniors the opportunity to gain meaningful work experience and be compensated through AARP.
Participants will be matched based on their skills, experience, knowledge, and abilities. Other municipalities that have served as a host agency include: Cutler Bay, Hollywood, Miramar, and Sweetwater.
