The Doral Business Council Signature Breakfast at the Intercontinental Hotel recently featured the presentation of the 2016 Small Business of the Year Award to Sergio’s Restaurant.
Carlos Gazitua was on hand to accept the award noting that Sergio’s is a true extension of the owners’ passion for Cuban food, their culture and their love of people.
Sergio’s has been bringing Miami the authentic homemade Cuban food for more than 40 years. The DBC also congratulated four finalists: A Safe Haven for Newborns, Divine Savior Academy, IG Travel Center and White Owl.
Doral Mayor Luigi Boria addressed the crowd along with two impressive speakers prominent in their respective fields who gave useful information about providing talent to continue growth in our community.
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Roger Ramsammy, Ph.D., the first President of the Miami Dade West Campus, is preparing MDC-West to serve the business community by providing the talent needed for continued growth.
Also featured was Jamie Gant, Certified Associate Educator at Ronald Reagan Senior High School in Doral, who hits the ground running to share his industry knowledge and computer experience with students in urban areas.
