Divine Savior’s ribbon cutting marks the completion of its 88,000 square foot expansion: a stand-alone high school building on its current campus. The project also includes new athletic facilities: a high school gymnasium, weight room, dance studio, soccer field, four tennis courts, and a playground expansion.
Highlights of the academic building include a STEM lab to accommodate the school’s Project Lead the Way STEM program, as well as a state-of-the-art media center with a recording studio and a video production lab. The school also has spacious music and art rooms to accommodate its growing fine arts programs. An outdoor classroom, lecture halls, chess room, and technology-saavy classrooms round out the buildings offerings. All features support Divine Savior’s rigorous, college-prep curriculum and AP Capstone Program offerings.
The construction was completed in 13 months, according to schedule. The new building will more than double the size of Divine Savior’s current campus which also serves students from PreK to 12th grade. The school is currently enrolling students for preschool, elementary, middle, and high school.
“We are so excited and grateful to dedicate this building. It will be a place where the young men and women grow spiritually, academically, and physically for decades to come. We give thanks to the many people who made this day possible and most importantly to our gracious God,” enthuses Pastor Carlos Leyrer, Superintendent of Divine Savior Academy.
