If one of your resolutions this year is to learn QuickBooks for business, there’s no time like the present – and no place better than the Doral Chamber of Commerce to take advantage of live professional training in English and Spanish.

The one day course, presented by an experienced QuickBooks instructor is geared to prepare business people, whether they are members of the chamber or not, with the tools and understanding they need to take advantage of the power QuickBooks offers.

Classes in English are Feb. 9 and March 6; while training classes in Spanish is Feb. 27 and March 16; all QuickBooks offerings take place from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on their respective day. The course is the Desktop QuickBooks Edition, not to be confused with QuickBooks Online.

The QuickBooks for Business Course covers the following topics:

• General Overview: Upgrade vs. Update, Navigating through QuickBooks: Home Screen/Menu Bars/Modules Navigation, Cash vs. Accrual method of accounting.
• QuickBooks Lists: Organize and Simplify, Same name not allowed by QuickBooks, Chart of Accounts, Items = Services and/or Products, Customers = Clients, Vendors = Suppliers and Contractors, Employees = Payroll vs. Contractors.
• Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable: Create new Customer (Client), Create an Invoice, Receive Payment, Deposit Payment: Undeposited Funds account Create new Vendor (Supplier/Contractor), Enter a new Hill, Pay Bill.
• Checking Accounts & Reporting: Open Register, Reconcile Bank account(s), Imperative for Business Decision Making, Preset Reports, Daily/Weekly Review of most common Reports Fee.

The course fee is available at a reduced rate of just $197. Space is limited to 18 students so advance registration is required. As a bonus, attendees will also receive free “QuickBooks 2016: The Missing Manual” book (.pdf); free “QuickBooks Small Business Accounting Users Guide;” and a

One Free retake of the class within sis months from date of original class taken.

The class is scheduled as follows: Registration at 8:30 a.m.; training from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; with a lunch break from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
