On August 6, 2024, Mayor and Council, Doral Police Department, and the Parks & Police 4 Kids (PP4K) Foundation will join forces with sponsors and partners for National Night Out and Back to School. This fun-filled and informative annual event prepares families for back-to-school season with a giveaway of over a thousand FREE backpacks and supplies for pre-registered Doral residents (registration is full), while providing beneficial demos and activities that emphasize crime watch and public safety.
PP4K is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit corporation organized to provide child welfare and family services to the community. The Mayor and Council, along with the Police Department and the Parks & Recreation Department, work closely with PP4K to coordinate events and programs geared towards achieving this important goal.
National Night Out, “America’s Night Out Against Crime”, began in 1984 as an effort to promote involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships, and neighborhood camaraderie.
