Doral Place 87 celebrated its official groundbreaking and shovel ceremony, providing a glimpse of a new retail space property that will be added to the Doral landscape. The $30 million dollar project is expected to be completed in June of 2022.   

Present at the ceremony were City of Doral Mayor Juan Carlos Bermudez, Vice Mayor Pete Cabrera, Councilwoman Claudia Mariaca, Councilman Oscar Puig-Corve, and Economic Developer Manuel Pila.

Doral Place 87 is owned by Doral 87 Group LLC managed by Hector Duer, Pablo Szprynger and Myrian Goldsmith of DGS Group.

The project is designed by MODIS architects, Ballbe & Associates handled the engineering work and Camcon Group will oversee the construction. The Padron Group are the owners’ representatives and are handling all the coordination and logistics. Arthur Shifrin and Mickey Finkle of Koniver Stern Group are the exclusive brokers of the plaza. 

Doral Place 87 is a four-building shopping center. The planned design includes 46,800

square feet on the 4.7 acre-acre site located at 8690 NW 58 ST and 5675 NW 87th Avenue, at the intersection of 87th Avenue and 58th Street – two major arteries of the City of Doral.

The space is expected to generate between 200-300 jobs. Doral Place 87 has signed contracts with Dunkin’ and multiple active LOIs from national and local tenants. Doral Place 87’s design has been Green-certified by the City of Doral and will include such environmentally friendly technologies such as eco-friendly lighting.

Doral Place 87 will aim to cater to everyone living and working in the City of Doral. Doral Place 87 is in talks with language schools, after school programs, and children/teen-oriented businesses for the local families, specialty gyms for the fitness-minded, beauty salons, banking facilities, eco-friendly cleaners, restaurants ranging from American to Japanese to Vegan for the foodies in addition to Dunkin’.

“With easy access and ample parking spaces, local residents and workers will be able to rely on the plaza for every day needs from health and beauty to personal fitness or from a sit-down lunch to a quick cup of coffee at Dunkin’,” said Myriam Goldsmith.

“Our architects at MODIS have managed to design a well thought-out, functional and modern plaza for us. Doral Place 87 will be a welcome site to a previously unattended corner with its elegant design, modern architecture, and a diverse selection of shops. In line with beautifying the city, two important art pieces will be prominently displayed on the site,” said Goldsmith.

Doral Place 87 is located close to several major employers and corporate headquarters such as Harley Davidson, Perry Ellis, Carnival Cruise Lines, Univision and more. It has one of the largest daytime populations in Miami-Dade County (approx. 184,000 within 3 miles).
