The City of Doral Police Department with the support of the Doral Mayor and Council provided 70 children in need each with a Toys R’ Us gift card in the amount of $100 and spent the morning shopping with them and their families.
The holiday fun event took place Dec. 23rd. at the Toys R’ Us located at 1645 NW 107 Ave. in Doral.
The Doral Police Department Neighborhood Resource Unit (NRU) often collaborates in this way with local schools and churches to identify families needing assistance. The goal of the City is to assist as many families in Doral city as possible – so that they may enjoy the holidays with dignity and joy.
